One-on-One Art Therapy
Individual Art Therapy is a form of expressive therapy that integrates psychotherapeutic techniques with the creative process of art making to improve a persons physical, mental and emotional well-being. Sessions begin with talking to the therapist about why you want to find help, and learning what the therapist has to offer.
The techniques used opens up avenues of communication that extend beyond verbal language exploring thoughts and feelings not spoken about. This process leads to insight and discovery.
By unlocking the power of the subconscious mind, the client learns how to change limiting patterns and beliefs. This increases happiness, helps manage emotions and reduces stress and heals emotional pain.
Individual art therapy sessions can range from one to two hours.

These individual art lessons are for anyone who wants to tap into their inner landscape and begin to explore their own personal imagery.
This art approach, the client travels within themselves by means of meditation music to a deeper, quieter part of self. Tam will guide you on an inner journey beyond your conditioned thinking to a deeper state of relaxation where you can access a higher state of consciousness.
Practicing this type of painting allows clients to tap into the fountain of collective unconscious and release what is hidden and bring it to a conscious level by way of art. This way of painting has an inherent healing power, the paintings formulate new perceptions that in turn lead to deep positive personal growth.
During this creative process, the artist becomes absorbed by the process of transforming creative energy.
As she becomes more peaceful, and the creative energy flows, shapes, colours, pictures, symbols and often, architypes from the collective unconscious, are released from deep within and a beautiful original artwork is formed.
This artwork conveys deep meaning and is often transformative for the artist and the jewel of wisdom can be found and a powerful form of healing and personal growth reached.
It is believed that once we open the door to our transpersonal self, we may again discover the sacred medicine in ourselves.
Creative Art Therapy Group Workshops
Tam runs themed workshops for groups up to 12 people with art therapy and creativity with varying models of treatment for different groups.
Tam uses positive psychology and so focuses on the positive aspects of the human experience. As an art, it focuses on both individual and societal well-being.
Lighthouse Art Therapy workshops run throughout the year. This provides an opportunity for all to explore a variety of creative arts therapy processes. The workshops allows clients to try many creative modalities allowing you to take personal exploration deeper.
Creative healing workshops also give clients the chance to commit sometime to yourself, something we do too little of these days. You will be able to reflect, access new insight and re-energise your inspiration through the art therapy process.

Art Therapy Session: $95 for 60 mins
Art Therapy NDIS Plan Managed / Self Managed: $130 for 60 to 90 minutes
